In 2017, more than 500,000 hectares of forest burned in Portugal – it was the biggest fire in the country's history.
Rock in Rio Lisboa invited António Pinto Carvalho, luthier of APC Instrumentos Musicalis, to help in the production of three special guitars, made from the wood of the trees of the forests that burned in the fire.
The money raised in the campaign was donated to environmental preservation campaigns across the country and for reforestation in the region affected by the fire.
With the burned wood, three guitars were produced, which in the end reverted to a value capable of reforesting 300 thousand square meters of the area.
